Tote Bag Tutorial/Free PDF Pattern

If for some reason you want a printed copy of this free pattern I am happy to print it with a quality photo for a charge of $4.00 and post to you. Email me if required.

I won't have as much time on my hands now that I am going to be working outside the home again, so I thought I would do up this tote bag tutorial....and look I got to use some of my hooty owl fabric....just love it!!! You could also add a lovely fabric flower using my tutorial if you feel the tote bag needs that extra addition. I didn't want to take anything away from my "owls" though.

This tote bag is done slightly different to the standard tote where you make the outer bag and then the lining and pop one inside the other. You actually sew one lining to one outer fabric and then sew them all together after putting on pockets and handles.

I have created a PDF tutorial/free pattern to download so that you will find it easier to print and have handy.

I hope you enjoy making this bag and would love to hear from you about how you went with it.

Thanks for sharing the tote pattern with us Khris. I always put off making bags because the lining is so fiddly but I am sooo looking forward to making this one.

I have just discovered your blog and will be putting it in my favourites now.

Hallo!

I downloaded this tutorial when it was first published and tried to put the bag together last night. I almost lost my mond over the handle instructions until I realized the length (given at 21 inches) was HALF what it should be. I see the tutorial has been updated for the correct length and I am about to go put my bag together. Hooray!
